Don’t count       on remaining dry kayak paddling this segment of Pigeon River if you're not an experienced paddler. For your safety you ought to always check the situation before going kayak paddling. The view of picturesque Grassy Top near Asheville   West KOA is nice; if you're here you can take a hike along the Shut-In Trail.
