There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Appalachian Campground. Appalachian Mountain is a brilliant local ski area, and a beautiful lake like A S U Lake is a tremendous spot to stop at.
Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Mount Jefferson State Park is worth a visit if you're at Appalachian Campground; on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Yancey Ridge Trail. And if that's not enough there's a lot more enjoyable things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Since you're here at Appalachian Campground why not explore Hodges Gap, and a round of golf at nearby Boone Golf Club is a good way to kill some time.
This campground has so unbelievably much. Howard Knob is charming and can be distinguished from Appalachian Campground, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Daniel Boone Scout Trail. Appalachian Campground is a very popular campground among the people from Boone.
