The Austin Glen portion of Catskill Creek is suited for paddlers who have been whitewater kayaking and       rafting for a period of time but who are not yet prepared for the extremely hazardous rapids. Always check restrictions prior to departure whitewater kayaking and rafting since whitewater kayaking and rafting is a hazardous pursuit.   Leeds Flat is a beautiful place any time of year; Austin Glen is close at hand, and is a good spot. And if that's not enough there's plenty more fun stuff to do in the Catskill Mountains. Vedder Mountain is gorgeous and can be made out from Woods Road Campsite, and Woods Road Campsite is a site with many visitors from South Cairo.
