Hiking along the McKenzie Pond Trail is brilliant fun; there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Ausable River - West Branch. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains. While you're here at Whispering Pines Campground you can take a hike along the Schwartz Trail, and
Paradox Bay is pretty close. The caring reception and all the enjoyable stuff will make you feel fine.

a very well loved campground by the folks of Lake Placid. Through the summer highs here at Whispering Pines Campground get into the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Whispering Pines Campground temperatures fall to the 0's.
