Thompson's Lake State Park, Catskill Mountains, New York Custom Search   This is not your typical campground where you are on top of all your neighbors. Shaul State Park is a nice place to stretch your legs a bit. Thompson's Lake State Park is an old favorite with people in Berne. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Catskill Creek, and during your tour here you'll meet some people from Berne for sure. At Thompson's Lake State Park through the summer months highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's.
