Skyway Campgrounds, New York   Skyway Campgrounds is a very popular campground among the folks of Greenfield Park. The nice local attractions and such a vast number of things to do will certainly have you coming back repeatedly. Skyway Campgrounds gets a lot of water; May is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is February. You've got to get out of the house, and Skyway Campgrounds is a good local campground if you happen to be in New York. Skyway Campgrounds is located in a vicinity with scores of exciting stuff to do, and it sure is a good campground. There's brilliant     hiking along the Peenpack Trail, and a spree here wouldn’t be complete without a tour to nearby Lake Superior State Park. Through the warmest time of the year here at Skyway Campgrounds, high temperatures frequently get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Through the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Skyway Campgrounds temperatures plunge to the 10's. Skiing at Holiday Mountain is one of those things you just should do; since you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Greenfield Park. Go for a hike on the Seager West Branch Trail, and Minnewaska State Park Preserve is worth a visit. There's such a vast number of things to do at Skyway Campgrounds including whitewater paddling, and hiking, so it's completely out of   the question to get bored. This segment of New York has a good deal of outdoors activities offered. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things to do are in fact bountiful here at Skyway Campgrounds. Soar down the rapids of Sandburg Creek in a kayak, and don't leave Skyway Campgrounds without first going for a hike along the Kanape Jeep Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Rondout Creek. This campground is so magnificent. Going for a hike on the Vernooy Falls Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and if you come at the right time of year, Beer Kill River - West Branch offers some glorious whitewater.
