Nearby there is a good 3.5-mile-long grade II-III whitewater section, the Stewarts Bridge Reservoir to Hudson River segment of Sacandaga River. This segment of Sacandaga River is suggested for kayak paddlers of medium experience. Whitewater rapids are risky occurrences, so you should check conditions previous to going. The summit of Cooks Hill can be distinguished from Sacandaga Campground. If you have a boat, Majestic Mountain Marina is an excellent marina.       A glorious location to bowl in the neighborhood of Sacandaga Campground is Lake Luzerne Community Center & Bowling. Hit the slopes at Hickory Ski Center around here, and Moreau Lake State Park is a good spot to go to on a gorgeous   day. Take a visit to nearby Muddy Acres Farms and ride a horse; why not take the kids to Doctor Morbid's Haunted House during your stay at Sacandaga Campground. Near Sacandaga Campground you find the Oregon Trail which is a great hiking trail.
