This campground is so delightful. There are plenty of people from Chichester here at Romer Mountain Park, and nice hiking is available along the Spruceton Trail. Among the things you can do near Romer Mountain Park are hiking, and whitewater paddling, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen.   If you come at the right time of year, Woodland Creek offers some glorious whitewater, and there's good hiking along the Kanape Jeep Trail. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Sheridan Mountain is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Romer Mountain Park; there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Esopus Creek. Having a wonderful time in the Catskill Mountains is painless. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Stony Clove Creek, and don't leave Romer Mountain Park without first going for a hike along the Willow Trail. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Catskill Mountains. Woodland Valley is a fine place to stop by close by, and Minnewaska State Park Preserve is both nice and charming. Through the months of summer at Romer Mountain Park temperatures are regularly in the 70's, and the overnight is quite chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 20's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Romer Mountain Park temperatures plunge to the 0's.
