| | Rip Van Winkle Campground is a beautiful 160 acre campground located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains just 2 hours from New York City and convenient to all the Hudson Valley has to offer.
We have something for everyone. Whether your camping style involves a luxury motorhome on a full service site, getting down to basics tent camping, or anything in between, Rip Van Winkle Campground is where you want to be! We even have rental units available and weekend by bus packages for those who want a hassle-free getaway in the woods!

a day, a week, or the entire season! With different areas in the park, you can have different experiences each time you come. The Ledges area of the park offers plenty of full service sites nestled in the center of the park along a magnificent stone ledge. The Riverside Area is
| perfect for those tent-camping or camping in pop-ups who want to be able to hear the babbling of the Plattekill Creek as they wile away the hours by the fire. The newly relocated Lovers’ Lane, ready for the 2010 season, is a little further off the beaten path and is perfect for that romantic getaway you’ve been dreaming about. Last but not least, we can’t forget Rip’s Rally! This area of the park can accommodate groups so that you can share your camping experience with friends and family all on the same site!

hot showers with individual dressing rooms, flush toilets throughout the park, public water supply, and a well-stocked camp store. For your enjoyment we offer a RC car track, pedal boats, an old-fashioned swimming hole, a brand new heated pool, fishing in either a stocked bass
pond or a stocked trout stream, a Rec Hall with a 15 foot screen for movies, pool table, and video arcade games.

The Phoenicia Trail is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Rip Van winkle Campgrounds; in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Beaver Kill River. This is such a fun place for a campground. If you're a golfer then a glorious
close by course is Colonial Country Club, and Lake Taghkanic State Park is a pleasant spot to go. Hunter Mountain has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff; since you're here you can take a hike along the Spruceton Trail. This campground is a beautiful place to stop at. People
from Palenville love to come to Rip Van winkle Campgrounds, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Esopus Creek.
Be careful coming to Rip Van winkle Campgrounds, you might not ever wanna go home again. Playing golf is lots of fun at Rip Van Winkle Country Club, and a journey
to Margaret Lewis Norrie State Park invigorates the spirit. And that's not all you can do here in the Catskill Mountains. Visit Lucas Kill if you're here at Rip Van winkle Campgrounds, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Willow Trail. Rip Van winkle Campgrounds gets
