Camping Under the Pines Rancho Pines is located in the heart of the Adirondacks, in Chestertown, N. Y. Nestled along the Schroon River between Brant and Loon Lakes, and only minutes from the Queen of the Adirondack lakes, Lake George. Making this an excellent spot for river tubing, boating, or just a relaxing day of fishing. If hiking or biking is your passion, there are trails close by and we can supply you with mountain bikes right at our campground. There are three golf courses, numerous horse     ranches and local attractions, including The Great Escape Fun Park, just a short drive from our facility. Come and enjoy one of our 54 campsites here in the scenic Adirondacks and we're sure you'll come back time and again. Our facility boasts Full Hookups with 30 amps electric, clean restrooms and hot showers. For the kids, we have a Game Room for their (and your) enjoyment. On those beautiful summer days, enjoy the great outdoors in one of our picnic areas. We also have Fire rings at every site so you can enjoy roasting marshmallows, or if you would like to go river tubing or take a leisurely paddle boat ride on the Schroon River, you can do it right from our canoe launch site. Come enjoy Adirondacks camping, and all it has to offer. If you come at the right time of year, Hudson River offers some wonderful whitewater;   during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Brant Lake for sure. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Trout Brook River, and the Pharoah Mountain Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. If you come to this campground, you will have a wonderful time for sure. You can observe Bartonville Mountain from Rancho Pines, and a spree to Moreau Lake State Park invigorates the soul. This campground has it all. Lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Crystal Lake next to Rancho Pines; close by you find the Peaked Hill Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. Yeah, come here to Rancho Pines for a great time. On a glorious day at Rancho Pines you can take a hike along the Spectacle Pond Trail, and let's not forget Chester Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon during your stay. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Rancho Pines, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Rancho Pines. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. Get dripping wet paddling on Schroon River, and there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Long Swing Trail. Rancho Pines gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This place, Rancho Pines, it completely has so much outdoors cool stuff. Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a pleasant time. Going for a hike on the Short Swing Trail is always a great adventure, and Hickory Ski Center has great slopes and a friendly staff. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Green Mansion Golf Course; unsurprisingly, everybody loves Saratoga Spa State Park.
