Rancho Pines, Adirondack Mountains, New York   Adirondack camping the way it should be. Camping Under the Pines Rancho Pines is located in the heart of the Adirondacks, in Chestertown, N. Y. Nestled along the Schroon River between Brant and Loon Lakes, and only minutes from the Queen of the Adirondack lakes, Lake George. Making this an excellent spot for river tubing, boating, or just a relaxing day of fishing. If hiking or biking is your passion, there are trails close by and we can supply you with mountain bikes right at our campground. There are three golf courses, numerous horse     ranches and local attractions, including The Great Escape Fun Park, just a short drive from our facility. Come and enjoy one of our 54 campsites here in the scenic Adirondacks and we're sure you'll come back time and again. Our facility boasts Full Hookups with 30 amps electric, clean restrooms and hot showers. For the kids, we have a Game Room for their (and your) enjoyment. On those beautiful summer days, enjoy the great outdoors in one of our picnic areas. We also have Fire rings at every site so you can enjoy roasting marshmallows, or if you would like to go river tubing or take a leisurely paddle boat ride on the Schroon River, you can do it right from our canoe launch site. Come enjoy Adirondacks camping, and all it has to offer. At Rancho Pines you always meet someone from Brant Lake; Bartonville Mountain   is clearly visible from Rancho Pines. This place, Rancho Pines, it definitely has so much outdoors exciting stuff. While you're here at Rancho Pines, you could also explore delightful Crystal Lake, and going for a hike along the Peaked Hill Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. You can run the rapids of Hudson River close to Rancho Pines, and hiking along the Long Swing Trail is glorious fun. Now, you may feel that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Going to Saratoga Spa State Park near Rancho Pines is a great thing to do, and Hickory Ski Center is a great local ski area. This campground has so much enjoyable stuff to offer. Take a little tour to Chester Creek if you're here at Rancho Pines; a golf course nearby is Green Mansion Golf Course. This campground is so glorious. A fine place like Moreau Lake State Park right next door to Rancho Pines is too nice to leave out, and Rancho Pines is right by the Pharoah Mountain Trail. And if that's not enough there's plenty more fun things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. There's whitewater on Trout Brook River for all you adrenaline people, and the Spectacle Pond Trail offers hiking at its best. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Rancho Pines. From a rain point of view Rancho Pines is a reasonably normal place; the month with most of the rain is August, and January on the other hand is the driest. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Schroon River, and if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Short Swing Trail. Summertime highs at Rancho Pines frequently tend to be in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Rancho Pines.
