Rancho Pines, Adirondack Mountains, New York Custom Search   The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. The people who watch over the campground and the well maintained facilities have folks coming from all over. Ok, you've been cooped up for too much time, you've gotta get out; Rancho Pines is a great local campground if you happen to be in New York. There is so much cool stuff in the neighborhood of Rancho Pines; if you're trying to find a great spot to go camping for a couple of days, this       is a fine choice. New York has a lot of outdoors activities. Rancho Pines is incredibly well esteemed by people in Brant Lake. Some activities here at Rancho Pines are hiking, swimming, playing golf, whitewater paddling, and fishing,   so possibly you want to stay a bit. Hickory Ski Center nearby is a pleasant ski hill having a good 1,280-foot drop from top to bottom served by 4 good ski lifts; it has 18 slopes and boasts 3 feet of wonderful snow every winter. About 50% of the slopes covering the 200 acres of skiing land at Hickory Ski Center are red and black while 50% of the slopes are green and blue. Skiers love Hickory Ski Center; it's a good ski hill. The 6-mile-from-beginning-to-end Starbuckville       to Riverbank portion is a class II-III portion of whitewater on Schroon River. This segment of Schroon River is advised for paddlers of medium skill. Whitewater boating may turn treacherous, so check circumstances ahead of going.   For all you boaters, Sawmill Bay Marina is a good marina around here, and why not a little side journey to Chester Creek. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Adirondack Mountains.
