Minnewaska State Park Preserve is a good place to explore; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Wallkill Golf Club is in the neighborhood. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Rondout Creek, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sandburg Creek.
