Shady Oaks RV Park, Adirondack Mountains, New York   This campground is now called Shady Oaks RV Park. We like staying at this campground and do so everytime we go to the Plattsburgh area. It is a very quite place and the owners a very nice people. This place is well kept and clean. Close to all resorts for sight seeing. We camp there every summer. Says Ken Rabidue Shady Oaks RV Park is one of the sites to camp here in the Adirondack Mountains. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the area near Shady Oaks RV Park has to offer. Have a great hiking adventure along the     West Shore Trail, and Cumberland Bay State Park is both fine and gorgeous. A number of people opt for this campground when going to Cumberland Bay State Park. The yearly rainfall here at Shady Oaks RV Park is about average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. Quite a lot of amusing stuff to do near Shady Oaks RV Park, and campgrounds like these are perfect. Man, is there plenty of cool things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Gunboat Rock is a good location to stop at next to Shady Oaks RV Park, and there are some good whitewater spots on Saranac River. Don't forget to take a tremendous little spree to Ray Brook, and there's whitewater on Ausable River for all you adrenaline people. With such a large number of things to do in New York you'll never   get bored. Such a great selection of attractions and such a great variety of outdoors recreation will without doubt have you coming back over and over. So much fun stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too fine to be true. On a nice day at Shady Oaks RV Park you can take a hike along the North Shore Trail, and Cumberland Bay is not far at all. The obliging operators of the campground and the skillfully operated operations have folks coming here. Shady Oaks RV Park is a campground that is very esteemed by people of Plattsburgh. Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the cool stuff you can do is whitewater paddling, and hiking, so you won’t run out of things to do. This is really a great campground. There is a magnificent hiking trail in the neighborhood of Shady Oaks RV Park called the Island Farm Nature Trail. When you're here at Shady Oaks RV Park it's always fun to visit Point Au Roche State Park, and Shady Oaks RV Park is a place with many visitors from Plattsburgh. This campground is so delightful. While you're here at Shady Oaks RV Park you can take a hike along the Southern Tip Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Salmon River offers some glorious whitewater. It's really unhealthy to spend all your time indoors; you've got to get out of the house once in a while, and Shady Oaks RV Park is a perfect local campground if you happen to be in New York. At Shady Oaks RV Park throughout the months of summer highs are in the 70's; the overnight is fairly cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 20's with temperatures at Shady Oaks RV Park dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. Louise says: Shady Oaks is 1/2 mile to Lake Champlain City Beach and only 2 miles to a boat launce but is not directly on any body of water.
