It is a very quite place and the owners a very nice people. This place is well kept and clean. Close to all resorts for sight seeing. We camp there every summer. Says Ken Rabidue Some activities here at Shady Oaks RV Park are fishing, whitewater paddling, swimming, and hiking, so you won’t get bored.     The personnel that operates this campground and a lot of exciting stuff to do are in themselves cause enough to come here. What a place this is for outdoors folks. On a brilliant day at Shady Oaks RV Park you can take a hike along the North Shore Trail, and it's a glorious idea to stop by Ray Brook. Shady Oaks RV Park is very well loved by people in Plattsburgh. It's not very good for you to spend all your time indoors; you need to get out of the house now and then, and Shady Oaks RV Park, New York is a good spot for getting out. At Shady Oaks RV Park throughout the long summer days highs are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Shady Oaks RV Park are in the 0's. A good place like Point Au Roche State Park in close   proximity to Shady Oaks RV Park is too perfect to leave out, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Saranac River. There's whitewater on Ausable River for all you thrill seekers, and Woodruff Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at. Several people stay at this campground so they can go to Cumberland Bay State Park. All the tremendous local attractions in the vicinity and the nearby outdoors recreation are guaranteed to keep you coming back time and again. This camp ground is located in the stunning Adirondack Mountains. This campground has so much exciting stuff to offer. Cumberland Bay is relatively next to Shady Oaks RV Park, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Southern Tip Trail. Quite a lot of exciting stuff to do next to Shady Oaks RV Park, and when you are here for a while you will feel like a different person. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. Nearby Gunboat Rock is a glorious site to go if you're at Shady Oaks RV Park; if you're dropping by from Plattsburgh, you won't be the only one. New York has a lot of outdoors activities. If you come to this campground, you will have a tremendous time for sure. There is a magnificent hiking trail near Shady Oaks RV Park called the Island Farm Nature Trail; going for a hike along the West Shore Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Don't leave Shady Oaks RV Park without visiting Cumberland Bay State Park; there are some great whitewater spots on Salmon River. Shady Oaks RV Park is a good spot of common rain; most of the rain falls through August while February is mostly the driest month.
