We must all go for a weekend of camping from time to time, and North Pole Campground in New York is the outdoors at its greatest. Really tremendous skiing awaits you at Whiteface Mountain, and there is a
good hiking trail close by called the Southside Trail.
Going for a hike on the White Trail is always a delightful adventure, and whitewater paddling is good on Ausable River - West Branch. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting things to do in the Adirondack Mountains.
On a wonderful day at North Pole Campground you can take a hike along the Schwartz Trail; nearby you hit upon the Johns Brook Trail which is a great hiking trail.
You truly must like the Adirondack Mountains. Macomb Reservation State Park is a great place to visit on a pretty day.
