This campground is a splendid location for boating, and a playground is on hand for the kids. The 1,010-foot drop from top to bottom at close by ski hill West Mountain is great; it has 22 ski runs blanketed by 7 feet of wonderful snow annually, served by 5 ski lifts. The challenging ski runs account for 9% of the much-loved ski runs at West Mountain, the ski hill every skier enjoys. There's 124 acres of skiable land to take       pleasure in, 91% of which are green and blue ski runs. Hudson River has a type I sweep of whitewater close by. The 2.15-mile-long Feeder Dam to Glens Falls section is tremendous to kayak. Do count on staying dry whitewater rafting   or kayaking this sweep of Hudson River. Always check current conditions before heading out whitewater rafting or kayaking as whitewater rafting or kayaking is a risky activity. Scores of beautiful animals may be made out at Ashville Game Farm.
