Kayuta Lake Campground, Adirondack Mountains, New York

  Tamarack Swamp is a swamp close to Kayuta Lake Campground; on a good day you can take a hike along the Party Trail. A campground like this is too wonderful to miss. There is a great hiking trail close to Kayuta Lake Campground called the Twin Lakes Trail, and Woods Valley is a brilliant local ski area.
If you come at the right time of year, Black River offers some great whitewater, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Forty Mountain Trail. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever want to return
    home again. A lake nearby is Davis Pond, and don't miss out on a tour to Fort Stanwix National Monument since you're here. Kayuta Lake Campground is a wet location that gets a large amount of precipitation; September is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months
is February.
Lots of folks stay here for the purpose of being next to Pixley Falls State Park. There's whitewater on Woodhull Creek for all you adrenaline junkies, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Stone Dam Trail. Some of the things you can do here at Kayuta Lake Campground are playing golf, hiking, whitewater paddling, fishing, and swimming, so you won’t run out of things to do.
That right there is lots of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. Pixley Falls State Park is a perfect location
 
to check out on a pretty day, and getting to Indian Creek from Kayuta Lake Campground is easy. This campground is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Alder Creek Golf Course & Country Inn is a magnificent way to kill some time, and the good folks of Alder Creek like to hang out nearby.
