Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Ramapo River, and delightful hiking is available along the Sherwood Path. Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds is often visited by visitors from Pearl River. There are so many amusing things to do near Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds, and it's one of those locations where everything is perfect.
There are some good whitewater spots on Popolopen Creek,
| and a journey to Tallman Mountain State Park is a good idea.
And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do in the neighborhood of Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds. Going for a hike on the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail is always a good adventure, and the skiing at Sterling Forest is good.
