Trout Brook River is a wonderful whitewater spot in the vicinity of Ideal Campsites; hiking is a popular thing to do around Ideal Campsites; Pharoah Mountain Trail is a good local trail. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever wanna   go home again. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Hudson River; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Hickory Ski Center. Some of the things you can do here at Ideal Campsites are whitewater paddling, fishing, swimming, and hiking, so you won’t run out of things to do. Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a brilliant time. Take a hike on the Short Swing Trail; swamps are out of the ordinary spots and Jenks Swamp near Ideal Campsites is no exception. Summertime highs at Ideal Campsites generally tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Ideal Campsites are in the 0's. Such a great selection of attractions and so much to do are glorious incentives to come. If you come to this campground, you will have a nice time for sure. Trout Brook is a pleasant local stream, and Eagle Point is in close proximity and always nice to stop at. The obliging operators of the campground and the large number of amusing stuff to do are a great pull for a lot of folks. Ideal Campsites is a great camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Adirondack Mountains. There's great hiking along the Spectacle Pond Trail.
