Easy trails make up 64% of the trails at Whiteface Mountain, and red and black ones make up 36%. There is a total of 282 acres of skiable land; Whiteface Mountain is a great place to ski. The 80 trails of Whiteface Mountain are all cool and are served by 10 great ski lifts. The elevation difference is 3,166 feet, and this ski mountain       gets blanketed by 18 feet of snow per winter. Near High Peaks Base Camp is a magnificent 6.3-mile-in-length stretch of whitewater on Ausable River - East Branch, a grade II-III, this is the Keene to Upper Jay portion. It could be   said that this stretch of Ausable River - East Branch is a spot for fun whitewater boating. Don't go whitewater boating in advance of first checking current conditions; it's perilous matter. Don't forget to take a good little journey to Lewis Brook; D.A.R. State Park is a perfect place to stretch your legs a bit.
