A perfect place for whitewater paddling close to Hidden Valley Lake is Esopus Creek, and a tremendous location to have a look at is Wallkill Valley. The high level of rain makes Hidden Valley Lake a quite wet location; most of the rain falls through November, and the driest month is February. Hidden Valley Lake is an old favorite with the people of Tillson.
This is a brilliant campground. The Phoenicia Trail is a fine hiking trail close to Hidden Valley Lake, and if you're visiting from Tillson, you won't be the only one. The helpful operators of the campground and the glorious quality of everything here have people coming here.
