Forked Lake Campground, New York Custom Search   We stayed at Forked Lake campground for six nights.  We had the perfect campsite.  Campsite 13 is a wonderful pick since it is elevated to ensure a breeze from both sides of the lake to keep the bugs at bay during the day and also offer relief from the heat.  It is around 3/4 of a mile hike into the campsite so I would recommend boating your equipment in.  This site has full exposure so you should have some sort of dining canopy to help with sun and rain       issues. There is a great spot to get into the water and swim.  This campground is a bring in take out and does not offer a dumpster or recycling area.  You can purchase wood but ice is around seven miles away.  We had a fantastic   stay at this beautiful campground. Says Chris D forked lake is a great place 2 go, and every one should c the views but if possible don't ruin it for the true nature fans and leave the motor boat @ home, and rent a boat there. its a great place 2 go, remember to keep it clean 2. Says Bob Golfing is a tremendous way to spend some time, and there are boats for rent here at Forked Lake Campground. Hey, time to go camping, wouldn't you agree? Forked       Lake Campground is a good local campground if you happen to be in New York. This section of New York has a good deal of outdoors activities available. When the sun is out at Forked Lake Campground you can always take pleasure   in the weather at the picnic area. The best way to get pleasure from the tranquility of the water here is in a rowboat, and bring your fishing hat because the fishing is tremendous at Forked Lake Campground. Paddling a canoe is a magnificent way to experience the surroundings here.
