You find the 14.5-mile-long Lyons Road to Lake Erie portion of Chautauqua Creek close by; this is a grade III whitewater stretch. This stretch of Chautauqua Creek is an amusing stretch for whitewater kayaking or rafting. Don't go whitewater kayaking or rafting       ahead of first checking the situation; it's perilous business. If by chance you have a boat, Smith Boys of Chautauqua is a magnificent marina, and everyone enjoys a cool visit to nearby Midway State Park. The picturesque marina of   Snug Harbor Marina & Service Center is a nice scene to leave dry land behind. You are near Whitney Bay while you're here at Camp Chautauqua, and a tour to Chapman State Park rejuvenates the spirit. Time spent at Ripley Beach right next door to Camp Chautauqua is always magnificent; Lake Erie State Park is a good place to explore.
