Brookwood Park Campsite is not far at all from Ticonderoga, and the Lost Pond Trail offers hiking at its best. Quite a lot of amusing stuff to do close to Brookwood Park Campsite, and it is a very good campground. From a precipitation point of view Brookwood Park Campsite is a quite typical place; August is the wettest month with most rain; January is the month with the least moisture.
Man, is there a lot of cool stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Everybody loves D.A.R. State Park, and it's a perfect idea to pop by Chilson Brook. Take a hike on the Berrymile Pond Trail, and La Chute River is a delightful whitewater spot close by.
