Anthony Wayne Recreation Area is a good spot, and Bear Mountain can be observed
| from Beaver Pond. The pleasant variety of local attractions and all the outdoors recreation are magnificent causes to come. Everybody loves Bear Mountain State Park, and there's splendid hiking along the Stillwell Lake Trail.

At Beaver Pond all through the long summer days highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down
it sinks down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Beaver Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Here at Beaver Pond you'll probably meet some folks from Tomkins Cove, and close to Beaver Pond you locate a golf course called The
Garrison Golf Club.
Beaver Pond is right by the Woodtown Trail, and there's whitewater on Ramapo River for all you adrenaline kick people. This is really a magnificent campground. Skiing at Sterling Forest is one of those things you just have to do; Doodletown Bight is not
far at all.
A large amount of rainfall falls at Beaver Pond; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. The Appalachian National Scenic Trail offers hiking at its best.
New York has so many things to offer nature lovers. The workforce who's always there to assist and the ably looked after facilities makes the trip here worthwhile.
