The 10 lifts at the nearby ski hill Willard Mountain carry skiers up to the tops of the 14 slopes at Willard Mountain. This nearby ski hill gets 7 feet of good snow yearly and has a drop from top to bottom of 505 feet. Willard Mountain       has 50 acres to ski on; 70% of the slopes are intermediate or beginner which is fine for beginners; 30% of the slopes are expert and advanced. You find the 9-mile-in-length Greenwich to Hudson River sector of Batten Kill River nearby;   this is a type I-III whitewater run. This sector of Batten Kill River is recommended for raft paddlers of medium skill. Of course, whitewater kayaking or rafting is enjoyable but hazardous; check the latest conditions before you go.
