New Mexico is not complete without some camping. You can never get enough of the brilliant skiing at Sandia Peak, and going for a hike on the Barts Trail is always a fine adventure. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Turquoise Trail Campgrounds. For the period of the moonlight
hours it's mostly in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Turquoise Trail Campgrounds are in the 20's. This is in fact a splendid campground. You definitely must check out Manzano Mountains State Park while you're here at Turquoise
Trail Campgrounds, and nearby you hit upon the Cienega Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. Go for a hike on the Faulty Trail; Canoncito is also a perfect place to explore.
