Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, you need to get out, and Slide Group Area is a perfect local campground if you happen to be in New Mexico.
There are so many fun things to do right next door to Slide Group Area, and when you have had the opportunity to enjoy this campground you will feel like a new person. Some activities here at Slide Group Area are hiking, and playing golf, |
so it's out of the question to get bored.
This is a good campground. If time allows, White Sands National Monument is a national park worth stopping at, and a tour to Lincoln National Forest is a tremendous idea. High temperatures at Slide Group Area during the long summer
| days are in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Slide Group Area. The workforce that runs this campground and the nice facilities makes the spree here worthwhile.
Lots of folks stay here to be close to White Sands National Monument. Slide Group Area gets very little precipitation; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The Osha Trail is a great hiking | |

trail in close proximity to Slide Group Area, and splendid skiing awaits you at Ski Apache.
Slide Group Area is enormously well prized by folks of Alamogordo. If you're a golfer then a brilliant close by course is Desert Lakes Golf Course; a nice place like Oliver Lee Memorial
State Park is too wonderful to leave out.
You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. This section of New Mexico is always a pleasure to stop at through camping season.
