Near San Antonio you stumble on the Saint Johns Trail which is a nice hiking trail; Hyde Memorial State Park is both nice and pretty. This campground is so splendid. A spree to Santa Fe National Historic Trail is worthwhile, and going for a hike on the Atalaya Trail is always a tremendous adventure.
