  Rio Chama RV Campground is situated in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Camping in New Mexico is such a fun activity. El Vado Lake State Park is a brilliant spot to stop at, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the La Manga Stock Driveway. So much fun stuff to do at Rio Chama RV Campground, so little time. Float down the rapids of Rio Brazos in a kayak, and from Rio Chama RV Campground you get a great vista of Rabbit Peak.
Rio Chama RV Campground is a very popular campground among folks in Chama. This spot, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains,
    has so much outdoors entertaining things. Going for a hike on the Elk Creek Trail is always a great adventure, and whitewater paddling is fine on Rio Chama. There are so many amusing things next to Rio Chama RV Campground; campgrounds like these are tremendous.
So much amusing
stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, not enough time. There are great spots to discover along the Posos Trail, and Heron Lake State Park is a beautiful place any time of year. Go for a hike on the Notch Trail, and since you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Chama.
It's not very good for you to be in a building every day; you have to get out occasionally; Rio Chama RV Campground in New Mexico is a really tremendous site to spend some time. The friendly folks working here and the wonderful quality of everything here are a
 
splendid attraction for lots of folks. If you like the outdoors, you won’t be disappointed; there's whitewater paddling, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen.
Rio Chama RV Campground sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is frequently March, that's the one that snows the most, and June is when it's the driest. This is really a good campground. There is a great hiking trail close to Rio Chama RV Campground called the Red Lake Trail.
The splendid variety of local attractions and such a splendid variety of outdoors recreation are magnificent causes to come. This campground is so charming. Little Willow Creek is a glorious local stream; get wet paddling on Rio de los Brazos.
Loads of folks stay at this campground to take a look at close by Heron Lake State Park. At Rio Chama RV Campground all through the summer months highs are in the 60's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Rio Chama RV Campground tend to be in the 0's.
