Santa Fe National Forest is a great place to pop by on a pretty day, and float down the rapids of Rio Santa Cruz in a kayak. Rancheros Campground is liked by the people from Glorieta. This is such a perfect campground. Hiking along the Saint Johns Trail is good fun, and the cheerful people of Glorieta like to hang out nearby. |

to the 50's. All through the winter highs are generally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Rancheros Campground. That right there is heaps already, but it continues; Rancheros Campground has it all. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby
Ski Santa Fe, of course you could also stop at Talaya Hill Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all. There's a lot of outdoors recreation available in the vicinity such as swimming, fishing, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so most likely you want to stay for a while.
This is such a beautiful campground. Going for a hike along the Atalaya Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and Bandelier National Monument is a very great site to have a look at. Rancheros Campground gets very little rain; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is January. Lots of people camp here when going to Hyde Memorial State Park.
