Campground gets very little rain; August is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. The Chamiza Trail is a glorious hiking trail next to Rancheros Campground, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Ski Santa Fe. On a
good day at Rancheros Campground you can take a hike along the Thompson Peak Trail. Everybody loves Hyde Memorial State Park, and a spree to Bandelier National Monument is worthwhile. As if Rancheros Campground wasn't enough, you can also go playing golf, whitewater paddling, fishing,
hiking, and swimming, so running out of fun things to do won’t happen. The good selection of local attractions, and the nearby outdoors recreation are nice incentives to come. There is so much entertaining stuff right next door to Rancheros Campground, and spending time at
this campground is extremely pleasant. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Santa Fe Country Club, and drift down the rapids of Rio Santa Cruz in a kayak.
