| | New Buffalo is an old favorite with people of Arroyo Seco. This is such a scenic campground. Paddling on Rio Grande is so much fun, and places like Cimarron Canyon State Park are splendid to pop by. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Hiking is a popular thing to do around New Buffalo; Number 3 Lift Trail is a brilliant local trail, and you can go for a hike on the Devisadero Peak Loop Trail. So many local attractions and the close by outdoors recreation will undeniably have you coming back over and over. |
This campground is always a joy. All the outdoors entertaining stuff close to New Buffalo will keep you coming back many times. The Kit Carson Trail offers hiking at its best, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Red River. There's so much stuff to do at New Buffalo including
| whitewater paddling, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. There's no way to run out of exciting stuff to do right next door to New Buffalo; spending time at this campground is incredibly pleasant. A quick tour to Gallina Creek in the neighborhood of New Buffalo is a good idea, and you can hit the slopes at Taos in the neighborhood. New Mexico is a magnificent place for campers. place to spend some time. All through the summertime, highs typically are in the 80's at New Buffalo. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at New Buffalo temperatures
fall to the 0's. This camp ground is one of the good places to camp here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. The caring folks working here and all the exciting stuff have people coming here. Around New Buffalo you don’t get a lot of rain; August is the month that gets the most
rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. Good hiking is available along the Simpson Memorial Trail; Coyote Creek State Park is a good spot. All year is a good time in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains if you go for the outdoors. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Twining Blue Lake Trail; there are plenty of folks from Arroyo Seco here.
