  This is truly a great campground. Going for a hike on the Kit Carson Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Rio Grande is a good whitewater spot right next door to New Buffalo, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Devisadero Peak Loop Trail. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do close to New Buffalo. Hit the slopes at Taos in the vicinity, and New Buffalo is a site with many visitors from Arroyo Seco.
Famous New Mexico kindness and all the great passtime activities are motive enough to come here. New Buffalo is
    a popular spot with visitors from Arroyo Seco. This campground is so pretty. A magnificent place for whitewater paddling close to New Buffalo is Red River, and the Simpson Memorial Trail is a good hiking trail close by.
It is very arid here at New Buffalo ordinarily; August
is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is January. It's just not possible to run out of fun stuff to do near New Buffalo; it is a fine campground. At New Buffalo throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's, and the overnight is somewhat cooler of course, usually in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while New Buffalo night low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's.
New Buffalo is a nice camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. There
 
is a splendid hiking trail next to New Buffalo called the Number 3 Lift Trail; a tour to Coyote Creek State Park when you're here is never a bad idea.
If spending too much time indoors got you down, No need to worry; New Buffalo in New Mexico is exactly the spot. And that's not all the things to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Visit Gallina Creek while you're here at New Buffalo, and a tour to Cimarron Canyon State Park is a great idea.
So much cool stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, just striking. There are fine places to look at along the Twining Blue Lake Trail; you'll come across a stunning lake called Cow Lake. Some of the things you can do here at New Buffalo are fishing, whitewater paddling, hiking, and swimming, so you won’t run out of things to do.
With so many things to do in New Mexico you'll never get bored. Such a glorious choice of attractions and all the outdoors recreation will make you glad you came.
