Lower Fir Group Area - Lincoln National Forest, New Mexico   A lot of people opt for this campground to be near White Sands National Monument. Quite a lot of fun things to do in the neighborhood of Lower Fir Group Area; it's always fun being here. If time allows, White Sands National Monument is a national park worth taking a look at, and do go to Alamagordo Water Supply Reservoir Dam if you're here. There's so much stuff to do at Lower Fir Group Area including hiking, and playing golf, so it's impossible to get bored. Lower Fir Group Area is a very well loved campground by the people from Alamogordo. Summertime highs at Lower Fir Group Area regularly tend to be in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 60's. Throughout the wintertime highs are regularly in the 50's with temperatures at Lower Fir Group Area dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Now, you may feel that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Lower Fir Group Area. Oliver Lee Memorial State Park is a splendid site to stop by, and an afternoon playing golf at Desert Lakes Golf Course is always a bliss. Lincoln National Forest is a great spot, and the slopes of Ski Apache are so inviting nobody can resist. The pleasant surroundings and all the pleasant passtime activities have people   coming from all over. Lower Fir Group Area is a location that is relatively dehydrated typically; August is when you get the most rain here; April is the month with the least moisture. New Mexico has a lot of outdoors activities. If you come to this campground, you will have a delightful time for sure. Have a great hiking adventure along the Osha Trail, and at Lower Fir Group Area you always meet someone from Alamogordo.
