| | Jemez Falls is extremely popular with folks in Ponderosa. Jemez Falls is one of the sites to camp here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Several folks stay at this campground in order to be right next door to Fenton Lake State Park. There are so many amusing things to do near Jemez Falls, and campgrounds like these are splendid. | Jemez Falls be without interesting nearby characteristics like Banco Bonito, and a delightful place to stop by nearby is Vallecitos de los Indios. The workforce of this splendid campground and the competently kept up facilities makes the trip here worthwhile. Near Jemez Falls you discover the Padre Alonzo Trail which is a nice hiking trail. Go for a hike on the Capulin Trail, and glide down the rapids of Jemez River in a kayak. If you come to this campground, you will have a good time for sure. and the skiing at Pajarito Mountain is magnificent. A journey to Fenton Lake State Park rejuvenates the spirit, and going for a hike on the Bland Bear Springs Trail is always a delightful adventure. This campground has so much. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if
it's for you then we recommend Rio Chama, and don't leave Jemez Falls without first going for a hike along the Valle Trail. Some activities here at Jemez Falls are swimming, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so it's out of the question to get bored. Such a nice choice
of attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation will make you delighted you came. At Jemez Falls throughout the summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. During the winter highs are typically in the 40's with temperatures at Jemez Falls dipping
down into the 0's through winter nights. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, not enough time. You're possibly addicted to lakes, Lower Vallecito Reservoir is one of those nearby, and if you come at the right time of year, Rio Grande offers some perfect whitewater.
