| | Everybody should go camping for a couple of days from time to time, and Duran is a delightful local campground if you happen to be in New Mexico. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! Duran is unbeatable! Sipapu Ski is a glorious local ski area, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Red River. If you come to this campground, you will have a wonderful time for sure. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Rio Pueblo de Taos, and don't leave Duran without first going for a hike along the Kit Carson Trail. This campground has |

so much amusing stuff to offer. Coyote Creek State Park is a delightful place to stretch your legs a bit, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Duran; Comales Sheep Driveway is a good local trail. For the duration of the summer highs here at Duran get into the 80's. Once the
| sun is down it descends down to the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Duran dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. If you want a little side journey, try Acequia Madre Del Norte Del Canon, and Rc+d Project Pm83 Dam is a location that is near Duran. Going for a hike on the Devisadero Peak Loop Trail is always a nice adventure, and there are plenty of folks from Taos Ski Valley here. of the spot are a pleasant attraction for lots of people. Duran is pretty dry ordinarily; through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. This part of New Mexico is always a diversion to stop at through camping season. There are so
many fun things to do near Duran, and being here is always fun. Duran is a top selection with residents of Taos Ski Valley. Good hiking is available along the North End Trail; there are other sites here than Duran, for example Talpa Reservoir. There's whitewater on Rio Grande
for all you thrill seekers, and you can go for a hike on the Simpson Memorial Trail. So many local attractions and the pleasant variety of outdoors recreation are great motives to come.
