So much enjoyable stuff next to Duran; when you are here for a while you will feel like another person. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Rio Grande; not far from Duran you get some great water scenery at Rc+d Project Pm83 Dam. have a look at Talpa Reservoir in the neighborhood of Duran; do take a hike on the Simpson Memorial Trail. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing things the area close to Duran has to offer. Hiking along the Kit Carson Trail is nice fun; if you come at the right
| time of year, Rio Pueblo de Taos offers some magnificent whitewater. This is in fact a great campground. Get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of Red River, and the cheerful folks of Taos Ski Valley like to hang out nearby. Some of the things you can do here at Duran are fishing, swimming, hiking, and whitewater paddling, so running out of entertaining things to do won’t happen. you're here at Duran it's always fun to go to Cimarron Canyon State Park. Duran is a location that is rather dehydrated usually; all through August this area sees the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. All the good local attractions in the neighborhood and
the nearby outdoors recreation will certainly have you coming back repeatedly. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Duran, and the night is a tad colder of course, ordinarily in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold
winter nights at Duran are in the 0's. Spending too much time indoors got you down, No need to worry; Duran in New Mexico is the outdoors at its finest. Duran is next to Coyote Creek State Park which is a pretty spot, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Devisadero
Peak Loop Trail. Going for a hike along the North End Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and you might also want to pay a visit to Acequia Madre Del Norte Del Canon while you're here at Duran.
