| | The warmest time of the year at Black Canyon comes with high temperatures in the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Black Canyon temperatures drop to the 10's. variety of outdoors recreation will make you happy you came. Black Canyon is very well loved by campers from Santa Fe. This is a perfect campground. Santa Fe National Forest is a pretty place any time of year, and a visit to Santa Fe National Historic Trail is recommended.
| If you fancy the outdoors, you won’t be saddened; there's playing golf, swimming, whitewater paddling, fishing, and hiking, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. While dropping by this area in New Mexico it's a good idea to go for a weekend of camping too. This campground is so perfect. Going for a hike on the Atalaya Trail is always a good adventure, and since you're here, you could also stop by charming Talaya Hill Reservoir. meet some people from Santa Fe here. Santa Fe Country Club is a golf course near Black Canyon, and Ski Santa Fe has delightful slopes and a friendly staff. So many fun things next to Black Canyon; when you're here you're always having a good time. Go for a hike on the Thompson
Peak Trail; you can run the rapids of Rio Santa Cruz. Black Canyon is frequently a pretty dry spot; most of the rain falls during August while February is typically the driest month. Good hiking is available along the Chamiza Trail; if you're looking for a splendid trip, Bandelier
National Monument is quite near. So many entertaining things to do at Black Canyon, so little time. Hyde Memorial State Park is a great place to stretch your legs a bit; Rio Grande is a glorious whitewater spot close by. Ok, it's time for camping, don't you think? Black Canyon in New Mexico is a really good site to spend some time.
