Black Canyon - Santa Fe National Forest, New Mexico

  The pleasant reception and a lot of fun things to do are a great draw for a lot of folks. This is such a fun place for a campground. A beautiful lake like Talaya Hill Reservoir in the vicinity of Black Canyon is a good place to take a look at, and there's delightful hiking along the Saint Johns Trail. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Black Canyon temperatures are typically in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's; nighttime lows at Black Canyon during the winter ordinarily
    plunge into the 10's. The cheerful folks of Santa Fe like to hang out nearby, and a trip to Santa Fe National Forest invigorates the spirit.
In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Grande. There's so much stuff to do at
Black Canyon including whitewater paddling, swimming, hiking, fishing, and playing golf, so it's impossible to get bored. Not much rainfall falls here at Black Canyon; the wettest month of the year is regularly August, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture.
If you are in New Mexico through camping season, you ought to go camping. What a site this is for outdoors folks. All our national parks are nice places to visit, and Santa Fe National Historic Trail is no exception; near Black Canyon you come across
 
a golf course called Santa Fe Country Club.
Good hiking is available along the Atalaya Trail; the vistas at Bandelier National Monument will blow your mind. Black Canyon is situated in an area with a lot of fun things to do; what a fine place for camping it is.
Such a great selection of attractions and such a great variety of outdoors recreation are good incentives to come. This campground is always a bliss. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Black Canyon; Atalaya Trail is a tremendous local trail, and Hyde Memorial State Park is a brilliant place.
Scores of people stay here for the purpose of being near Santa Fe National Historic Trail. You've been indoors for too long, you need to get out of the house; Black Canyon in New Mexico is a fine place to go. Black Canyon is right by the Chamiza Trail; Rio Santa Cruz is a magnificent whitewater spot nearby.
Black Canyon is a campground relatively frequently visited by people in Santa Fe. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Thompson Peak Trail, and you can hit the slopes at Ski Santa Fe in the neighborhood.
