You can run the rapids of Rio Grande right next door to Abiquiu Inn; do take a hike on the Lemitas Trail.
So much cool stuff right next door to Abiquiu Inn, and it is a splendid campground. There's lots of outdoors recreation available close at hand such as swimming, hiking, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so probably you want to stick around. Abiquiu Inn is enormously popular with the people of Abiquiu.
Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Abiquiu Inn. When the night
 
sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Abiquiu Inn are in the 10's. New Mexico has so many things to offer nature lovers.
So many local attractions and such a glorious variety of outdoors recreation will certainly have you coming back time and again. This campground is so brilliant. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Rio Chama; you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Apache Trail.
Having a tremendous time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains is simple. Do have a look at Laguna Cerro Negro near Abiquiu Inn, it's a wonderful lake, and unsurprisingly Canada de Horno flows through this neighborhood. Bandelier National Monument is a very brilliant spot to check out close to Abiquiu Inn; get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Rio Ojo Caliente. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Gotta ski! Pajarito Mountain is a great place to do that, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Vallecitos Trail.
