| Caliente has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby. While you're here at Abiquiu Inn you can take a hike along the Vallecitos Trail, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Pajarito Mountain. If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great world it would be. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Chama; Carson National Forest is worth stopping at. The staff that controls this campground and all the tremendous passtime activities beat anything. | |

As if Abiquiu Inn wasn't enough, you can also go hiking, and whitewater paddling, so running out of fun things to do won’t happen. This campground is so pleasant. Take a hike on the Apache Trail; whitewater paddling is good on Rio Grande. And if that's not enough there's heaps
more entertaining things to do in the San Juan Mountains. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the San Lorenzo Trail, and Abiquiu Inn is not far at all from Abiquiu. This is such a pleasant campground. Abiquiu Inn is right by the Lemitas Trail; Santa Fe National Historic Trail
is a very magnificent place to explore. The San Juan Mountains scenery is always gorgeous. It is very dried up here at Abiquiu Inn commonly; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Palacio Trail, and getting to Canada de Horno from Abiquiu Inn is simple.
