Abiquiu Inn, San Juan and Jemez Mountains, New Mexico

  A campground like this is too good to miss. During your journey to Abiquiu Inn you'll meet some folks from Abiquiu for sure, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Palacio Trail. The positive surroundings and all the cool things to do have folks coming here. Abiquiu Inn is a great camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
The great variety of local attractions and such a large number of things to do are great reasons to come. This is a good campground. Head up to Pajarito Mountain and strap some skis
    to your feet, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Lemitas Trail.
But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Going for a hike on the San Lorenzo Trail is always a splendid adventure, and float down the rapids of Rio Ojo Caliente
in a kayak. Santa Fe National Historic Trail is a great national park, and there's some flowing water nearby, Canada de Horno is a stream you can visit while here. As if Abiquiu Inn wasn't enough, you can also go hiking, and whitewater paddling, so most likely you want to stick around for a while.
Abiquiu Inn is to be found in a region with scores of cool things to do; it unquestionably is a splendid campground. Abiquiu Inn is incredibly well liked by campers from Abiquiu.

Go for a hike on the Vallecitos Trail, and a tour here wouldn’t be complete without a journey to close by Carson National Forest.
You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area close to Abiquiu Inn has to offer. A trip to Bandelier National Monument is worthwhile; get yourself into a kayak and hit Rio Grande. New Mexico has such a vast number of things to offer nature lovers.
Abiquiu Inn gets very little precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is commonly the driest month. During the warm days of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Abiquiu Inn, and the overnight is a little cooler of course, generally in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's; overnight lows in the 10's for Abiquiu Inn.
