Sun River Campground, New Hampshire

| | Have been here a couple of times and its the best! We go with a group and get all the sites near the river/stream (perhaps the river/stream is Sun River)and its wonderful!!! No need to worry about the kids and/or dogs bothering anyone and they can just play in the water, fish, look for frogs, float on their tubes, etc. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean!!! We've stayed here a number of years and I couldn't ask for more from a camp ground . . . you're camping but still have all the conveniences right at hand! The spot |

Have a magnificent hiking adventure
| | along the Campground Trail; while you're here, you could pop by Perry Brook. This campground has so much exciting stuff to offer. Suncook Lake Dam has nice water scenery and it's close to Sun River Campground, and drift down the rapids of Suncook River in a kayak. If you come to this campground, you will have a brilliant time for sure. Don't leave Sun River Campground without dropping by Bear Brook State Park, and folks from Barnstead love to come here. called Nippo Lake Golf Club; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Gunstock is quite near. Going for a hike along the Catamount Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and if you get bored of Sun River Campground you could also stop at nearby Suncook
Lake. While you're here at Sun River Campground you can take a hike along the Onemile Trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Little Suncook. Summer at Sun River Campground comes with high temperatures in the 80's; the night is slightly cooler of course, commonly in the 50's.
During the winter highs are frequently in the 20's; night lows in the 0's for Sun River Campground. A brilliant place like Pawtuckaway State Park right next door to Sun River Campground is too splendid to leave out; on a good day you can take a hike along the Broken Boulder Smith
Pond Trail. From a rainfall point of view Sun River Campground is a quite normal place; November is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
