Do explore Avery Dam if you're here at Sugarloaf Campground, and nearby you hit upon Dixon Point. Sugarloaf Campground gets a good deal of water; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest.
Going for a hike on the Rattlesnake
Trail is always a pleasant adventure; Lochmere Golf & Country Club is a splendid golf course close by. Good hiking is available along the Ridge Trail; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Jewett Brook.
