Suncook River has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby, and going for a hike on the Catamount Trail is always a tremendous adventure.
Scores of people camp here when they come to take a look at Pawtuckaway State Park. The glorious choice of local attractions, and the glorious variety of outdoors recreation will make you delighted you came.
The peak of Wheeler Hill can be seen from Saddleback Campground; you certainly should have a look at Bear Brook State Park while you're here. Camping in New Hampshire is such a fun activity. That right there is a lot already, but it continues; Saddleback Campground has it all. A visit to Pawtuckaway State Park when you're here at Saddleback Campground is never a bad idea, and a lake nearby is Lucas Pond.
