and paddling on Baker River - South Branch is so much fun. Lots of people camp here in order to be right next door to Cardigan State Park. Pine Haven Campground gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is
February. This is such a fun place for a campground. Take a side trip to Atwell Brook; places like Cardigan State Park are perfect to take a look at. All the glorious local attractions in the vicinity and such a glorious variety of outdoors recreation are great motives to come.
Beech Hill is delightful and can be seen from Pine Haven Campground; if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pond Brook River. This campground is a pretty place to have a look at. Good hiking is available along the Carr Mountain Trail,
and Wellington State Beach is a perfect place. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Pine Haven Campground. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Pine Haven Campground
dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. Pine Haven Campground is a good camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the White Mountains.
