Smarts Brook has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and near Long Island Bridge Campground you come across a golf course called Waukewan Golf Club. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the White Mountains. Sunset Hill is clearly visible from Long Island Bridge Campground. Long Island Bridge Campground is a rather wet place commonly with much rainfall; most of the rain falls all through November while February is ordinarily the driest month.
