Near Israel River Campground you discover the Mill Brook Trail which is a splendid hiking trail, and if you're a golfer then a fine nearby course is Waumbek Golf Club.

in the vicinity of Israel River Campground called the Mount Cabot Trail, and whitewater paddling is great on Upper Ammonoosuc River - West Branch. Israel River Campground is a very popular campground with the people from Jefferson.
