There are so many exciting things close to Idle Times Campground, and it is a very tremendous campground. Idle Times Campground is an old favorite with residents of Washington. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Idle Times Campground. Very nice water scenery is available at Highland Lake North Outlet Dam in the vicinity of Idle Times Campground,   and why not take a refreshing hike along the Cascade Link Trail. Several folks stay at Idle Times Campground to be in close proximity to Pillsbury State Park. From a rain point of view Idle Times Campground is a rather typical location; the month with most of the rain is August, and January is the month with the least moisture. At Idle Times Campground you always meet someone from Washington, and there's glorious hiking along the Pumpelly Trail. This is a fine campground. There are some great whitewater spots on Otter Brook, and delightful hiking is available along the Monadnock Sunapee Trail. For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Idle Times Campground, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Idle Times Campground. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Contoocook River - North Branch; do take a hike on the Parker Trail. The snow is perfect at Mount Sunapee. Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is whitewater paddling, and hiking, so you won’t run out of things to do. If you come at the right time of year, Ashuelot River offers some glorious whitewater; hiking is a popular thing to do around Idle Times Campground; Farmers Trail is a good local trail.
