Campground. Mount Sunapee State Park is a good site to go if you're at Idle Times Campground. A campground like this is too good to miss. A great place for whitewater paddling next to Idle Times Campground is Contoocook River - North Branch; there is a magnificent hiking trail
| close by called the Monadnock Sunapee Trail.
The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Idle Times Campground. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are mostly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Idle Times Campground are in the 10's. If you're here, you might as well have a look at North Outlet, and don't leave Idle Times Campground without first going for a hike along the Cascade Link Trail. This is a good campground. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mount Sunapee while you're here, and you can go for a hike on the Farmers Trail. Idle Times Campground gets a typical amount of precipitation;
the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is January. Everybody loves Pillsbury State Park; why not stop at Highland Lake North Outlet Dam if you're here.
