Hancock is right by the Rattlesnake Trail; you are in close proximity to Dixon Point since you're here. at Hancock do take a look at nearby Gilford Beach, and for you golfers we recommend close by Laconia Country Club. What a location this is for outdoors folks. Take a hike on the Butterworth Trail; Winnipesaukee River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby. So much amusing
| stuff to do in the White Mountains, not enough time. Avery Dam is not far at all from Hancock, and a forest close by is Opechee Bay Tract. At this campground you will always have a fine time. An afternoon playing golf at Lochmere Golf & Country Club is always a pleasure, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Pasture Trail. Through the months of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Hancock while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Hancock are in the 0's. | |

a perfect outdoors state. Hancock is a wet place that gets a large amount of precipitation; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the cool
stuff you can do is fishing, whitewater paddling, hiking, swimming, and playing golf, so you won’t get bored. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the White Mountains. Jewett Brook is a pretty stream that is worth stopping at, and there's no such thing as a bad day
of skiing at nearby Gunstock. Hancock really is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. If you're a golfer then a great close by course is Lake View Golf Club, and Hancock is not the only spot close by, Opechee Bay Reservoir is a close by lake.
