The 70 runs that cover the close       by ski hill Red Lodge Mountain are lots of fun; these runs get an average of 21 feet of great snow per season. Red Lodge Mountain has a nice 2,400-foot height difference, and has 8 great ski lifts. The Lake Fork to Red Lodge portion   on Rock Creek is a nearby category II-IV whitewater section, 10 miles from start to finish. The Lake Fork to Red Lodge portion of Rock Creek is proposed for kayak paddlers of medium know-how. Don't go whitewater rafting or kayaking in advance of first checking current conditions; it's dangerous matter.
