| | If you are in Montana during camping season, you should go camping. You've gotta get out; Outpost Campground is a tremendous local campground if you happen to be in Montana. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Outpost Campground. If you're a golfer then a nice close by course is Phantom Links Golf Club, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Mill Creek Trail. If the weather is good here at Outpost Campground, you can go for a hike along the Sixmile Trail, and at Outpost Campground you always meet someone from Missoula.

Outpost Campground is typically a pretty dried up place; the month with most of the rain is June; the driest month is February. This campground is always a joy. Glide down the rapids of Kootenai Creek in a kayak, and Marent Gulch is in close proximity, and is a tremendous location.
| The warmest time of the year at Outpost Campground arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Outpost Campground temperatures sink to the 10's. Such a tremendous choice of attractions and such a tremendous variety of outdoors recreation will make you pleased you came.

Blue Mountain Equestrian and Hiking Trail. Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the fun stuff you can do is whitewater paddling, playing golf, and hiking, so probably you want to stick around. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Montana Snowbowl, and get
wet paddling on Mill Creek.
Going for a hike along the Houle Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and do take a hike on the BLue Mountain Nature Trail NRT. Outpost Campground is fantastically popular with residents of Missoula.
