| | This campground is a beautiful site to visit. You're sure to encounter some cheerful people from West Yellowstone here; Madison River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. Some people camp here to visit close by Henrys Lake State Park. Henrys Lake State Park is a glorious spot to stretch your legs a bit, obviously you could also have a look at Beaver Ponds while you're here; it's not far at all. At this campground you will always have a magnificent time. Go for a hike on the Rock Creek Pack Trail; close by you come across the Little Tepee Creek |

Trail which is a great hiking trail. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Lionshead. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Lionshead. Get dripping wet paddling on
| Madison River, and if you feel like a little side trip, try Targhee Pass. Lionshead is a campground prized by people in West Yellowstone. There's more to do close to Lionshead other than just hanging out such as swimming, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so running out of amusing things to do won’t happen. the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Good hiking is available along the Skyline Trail; East Fork Denny Creek is right next door to Lionshead and is always a joy to check out. Going for a hike
on the Kirkwood Trail is always a nice adventure, and places like Targhee National Forest are brilliant to take a look at. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. There are great places to explore along the Cabin Creek Divide Trail, and paddling on Henrys Fork is so
much fun. If you've got cabin fever from too much time inside, Don't fret; Lionshead in Montana is the outdoors at its most excellent. Camping in Montana is such an enjoyable thing to do. Quite a lot of fun things to do next to Lionshead; lots of people are fond of coming here to escape.
