Monroe City South Lake Dam is a lovely place in close proximity to The Landing; if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Hickory Bluff Trail. are in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at The Landing temperatures plunge to the 10's.
