With over 4700 acres of water to fish for walleye, bass (small and large mouth), northern pike, crappie, perch, and a variety of large panfish, Big Pine Lake is a fisherman's dream come true. You can either fish right from our
| fishing dock or use the 16ft boat which comes with each cabin rental. We have our own boat launch and a fish cleaning house.
Toad River flows through this area, and Big Pine Lake is a wonderful lake nearby. During the summer months here at Whispering Pines Resort, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Whispering Pines Resort. Coming to this campground is always a great idea. | |

Why not visit Little Pine Lake Dam if you're here, and a round of golf at nearby Perham Lakeside Golf Club is a great way to kill some time. Whispering Pines Resort gets very little rain; most of the rain falls through June; February meanwhile is the driest month.
The great
people of Perham like to hang out close by, and a spree to Glendalough State Park revives the spirit. Everybody loves Maplewood State Park.
