| | People from Aitkin love to come to Red Door, and some nearby water includes Ripple River. This campground is so picturesque. Father Hennepin State Park is a splendid spot. During the summer months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Red Door while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Red Door dip into the-10's.

| there is a glorious hiking trail nearby called the Switzerland Trail. The kind folks working here and the splendid quality of everything here beat anything. There's such an incredible array of things to do at Red Door including hiking, and relaxing, so you won’t get bored.
If you are in Minnesota during camping season, you have to go camping. From a rainfall point of view Red Door is a relatively common location; June is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest.
