Gunflint Pines, Minnesota Custom Search   Relax and escape the city life. Located on the south shore of Gunflint Lake next to Gunflint Lodge the Gunflint Pines Resort & Campground offers Lakeside camping, cabins and camping cabins. Whether you're in a tent, camper or RV we can offer you a well spaced site within our wooded grounds. We offer a full service resort with boat rentals, guide service, public Laundromat, snacks, gifts, groceries and supplies. We have a great system of hiking trails directly behind the resort. We are surrounded by the Superior National Forest, and the Boundary Waters     Canoe Area wilderness. What we offer is an escape to a simpler life, quiet campgrounds, evening campfires, hiking, fishing, wildlife, Morning coffee at the lodge and dockside fish tales. What we don't have is cell phones, texting, TV, Newspapers, deadlines, traffic and stress. Bring your family and your pets. Come relax in the Northwoods Some of the water nearby flows, like Cross River, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Lutsen is quite near. Near Gunflint Pines you hit upon the Granite River Portage which is a nice hiking trail; Cascade River is a pleasant whitewater spot nearby. High temperatures at Gunflint Pines during the summertime are in the 70's; the night is a tad chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are generally in the 10's while the cold winter nights   at Gunflint Pines are in the-10's. A common amount of rain falls here at Gunflint Pines; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest of the months is February. So much cool stuff to do here at Gunflint Pines, too good to be true. On a tremendous day at Gunflint Pines you can take a hike along the Rib Lake Trail, and Cascade River State Park is a magnificent place to visit. At this campground you will always have a fine time. Go for a hike on the Maraboeuf Lake Portage, and a journey to Temperance River State Park invigorates the soul. Going for a hike on the Gneiss Lake Portage is always a great adventure; you can run the rapids of Poplar River. This campground is so fine. There is a magnificent hiking trail in close proximity to Gunflint Pines called the Pine Portage. Gunflint Pines is not the only location close by, Magnetic Lake is a close by lake; there's whitewater on Temperance River for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
